How it Works.
You’ve called the right place! Below is a summary of the steps we take, from start to finish, to make the temporary housing process as easy as possible for you and your policyholder. Let us know if you have any questions along the way. We are here to help.
- You Call 800.968.0848. Once you call in a housing request, our assigned Customer Service Representative will contact your policyholder within one hour to introduce him/herself and confirm all temporary housing requirements.
- CRS Searches. CRS will then find a comparable property that matches your guidelines, based on location, cost, lease terms, and your policyholder's needs.
- CRS Updates. CRS will always keep you well informed on the status of our search.
- CRS Submits Quote. Once we have located a suitable property, we will fax you a quote for the fully furnished property. Utilities are not typically included in our pricing unless specifically requested.
- CRS Asks Your Approval. To ensure that the lease terms are within policy limits, CRS will not commit to the property until we have your approval on our Fax Quote
- Policyholder Signs Temporary Housing Agreement. CRS has the policyholder sign our Temporary Housing Agreement, which is a contract between CRS and the policyholder for the temporary stay. Also included is a Direct Payment Authorization, which allows you to pay CRS directly for the temporary housing.
- CRS Arranges Move-in. With everything approved and a Temporary Housing Agreement signed by the policyholder, CRS will begin moving them into their fully furnished housing.
- CRS Manages Payment. CRS pays all up-front costs during the temporary housing stay and will invoice your company for the approved amount.
- CRS Offers Support. We keep in close contact with the policyholder, ensuring that everything runs smoothly throughout their stay. If repairs are needed or questions arise, one of our Area Specialists will assist.
- CRS Arranges Move-out. When it's time for the policyholder to move back into their permanent residence, CRS goes into action to handle every detail. We call 40 days in advance to determine if an extension or a move-out notice is required and respond accordingly. CRS arranges pick-up of all furniture and housewares, cancels any services and will follow-up with the landlord for retrieval of the security deposit.
